Nalini Toshniwal was born in the
state of Kashmir in India.
Since
her childhood Nalini took keen interest in classical music and dance. She
started learning Indian classical dance KATHAK at the age of 11 from Guru
Manak Dutt Jodhpuri. She completed her Masters course in KATHAK called "VISHARAD" from the Chandigarh University in
India.
She also has Master's Degrees in Physics,
English and
Diploma in Textile
Designing.
She
established "RUCHIKA" at
Ajmer city in India in 1990, now "RUCHIKA"runs at Osaka and Kobe, since she moved to Japan in 1992.
She
has given performances of KATHAK in
places like Nagoya, Kobe,
Wakayama, Toyama, Sapporo, Nishinomiya and Osaka in Japan and in Leicester,
UK. Her dance
performance has also been telecasted by NHK - the Japanese national
television network.
Nalini
now lives in Ashiya-city in Hyogo Japan with her husband
Rajesh. |
